Performance comparison of galvanised steel sheet and ordinary steel sheet

Therefore, regular steel plates are more suitable for indoor applications or those projects that are not exposed to harsh weather conditions.

Summary of differences:

Corrosion resistance: Galvanized steel has excellent corrosion resistance and is suitable for use in humid and corrosive environments. Regular steel plates require additional protection to prevent corrosion.

Appearance: The surface of galvanized steel sheet is covered with a metallic luster zinc layer, giving it a smooth and bright appearance, while ordinary steel sheet are usually gray or black.

Cost: Typically, galvanized steel panels are more expensive to manufacture because of the additional galvanizing process required.

If you are considering purchasing steel sheet, you should choose the appropriate type based on the specific requirements of your project. If your project requires corrosion resistance, especially if it's outdoors or in a high-humidity environment, then galvanized steel sheet may be a better choice.
